Description
The small kernels have it all: they taste pleasantly nutty and crunchy, and they provide us with many valuable nutrients. In contrast to commercially available, often roasted buckwheat, we do not offer heated, sprouted kernels. The grains contain less than 20 ppm gluten and are therefore also suitable for a gluten-free diet.
We source the sprouted flakes and grains directly from a family business we trust in Transylvania, Romania. The small organic company specializes in sprouted raw food. We are enthusiastic about the mindful, natural philosophy and are happy to offer selected flakes and grains to our customers.
Buckwheat is a pseudo grain. It grows in our latitudes between June and September within a few weeks and forms the typical, pyramid-shaped granules. The sun-ripened seeds are peeled and dried carefully after harvesting. This way, the valuable nutrients are preserved. Buckwheat is gluten free and contains all essential amino acids.
For the full development of the mineral and vitamin density, the buckwheat grains are sprouted after the harvest. The sprouting decodes the sleeping vital forces in the grain - the forces that make the small germ grow into a strong, multi-branched panicle. With gentle drying at a maximum of 42 ° C, these forces are then carefully preserved and the kernels become wonderfully crispy. A real treat for body and soul.
Use
The crispy kernels are ideal as a delicate ingredient in muesli, in desserts or with salads. In addition to buckwheat, you will also find wholegrain spelt flakes, wholegrain oatmeal and the 3-grain mix as a muesli base. Put together your own favorite mix and enjoy the power of the germinated raw food flakes.
