Why Sweet Lupine?
Sweet lupine flour is very high in protein and has a high content of essential amino acids. Proteins and amino acids are vital for the body, involved in the most important processes. Sweet lupine flour has many unsaturated fatty acids. A perfect protein supply for vegans, vegetarians, raw foodists and athletes. It has equally positive characteristics such as with soy flour except sweet lupine flour is not genetically modified.
The lupine is one of the legumes, the same plant family as peas and beans. The sweet lupine is derived from the bitter lupine. The first products derived from sweet lupine arrived on the market at the beginning of the 20th century, although, already in use for Lupin paper, soap, salad, milk and more. Even Lupin coffee without caffeine is made of the lupine.
Harvest and Processing
Our Lupin flour is grown in Germany in the best Bio conditions and is free of chemicals, fungicides and herbicides. The lupine seeds are harvested by hand, peeled, and then ground in raw food quality.
Sweet lupine flour is easily digested, free of bitterness, cholesterol, gluten and purines and stimulates the metabolism.
Add 1-2 tablespoons to cereal, smoothies or juices.
