Due to a long-standing collaboration with the Salamita family, who provide us with our almonds, we have a partner in whom we have absolute trust. This trust, along with its quality and the flavor, convinced us to sell their olive oil - the first oil in our range that is not pressed by us at Naturkostbar.
The Salamita family visited us at Naturkostbar in February 2013, and with this visit a further foundation stone was laid for our continued harmonious collaboration.
History of the Salamita Cooperative
From 1972, the Salamita family specialized in organic farming. In 1974, however, they decided to farm their fields and crops using organic-dynamic (Demeter) methods. Originally, these methods were practiced only on the family's own fields and groves, but since then, over the years, these methods have spread to over 100 farmers across Sicily.
The cooperative enables Sicilian farmers to market their products worldwide. In addition, employment opportunities in the region are created.
Usage: For tasty salads, dips and sauces. Can be used as a delicious finish to appetizers, main dishes, soups, vegetable dishes, and mashed potatoes.
