Everything starts with the beans
Selected quality beans for our highest standards. If possible unmixed from wildly grown plants, organic certified, from gentle and uniform fermenation (daily turning of the cacao beans in their boxes is essential).
Fair-Trade or Direct-Trade
According to our high-quality standards worldwide there are only a few small producers available, which grow high-quality cacao beans in small quantities. For their high expenses they receive a fair reward to ensure the sustainability.
Arrived in Steffisburg
Once they arrive at our manufactory, we select them again according to the principle of Cinderella: "the good into the pot, the bad into the crop"
With our self constructed machine we are able to remove the shell without roasting the beans. Afterwards the cacao beans are stone-grinded over hours until there is a smooth cacao mass.
Here we have a huge potential for creative possibilities. We combine the smooth cacao mass with high-quality, self made products such as nut butters and oils in combination with Superfoods. Additionally natural and unprocessed sweeteners with a low GI (glycemic index).

Note: Our pralines and chocolate are made out of 100% natural ingredients and we never use lecithin. That's why there may be a white film over the product if they experience changes in temperature. Those are natural, crystalline changes in the cacao butter (you could say that the cacao is perspiring) but it has in no way an effect on the taste.
