Cold pressed organic flax seed oil from our own manufactory in raw food - quality
Flaxseed oil (oleum linum usitatissium) is well-established for its health benefits. Our oil is cold-pressed at a maximum temperature of 35 degrees celsius from high quality flaxseeds.
At around 60%, flaxseed oil has the highest alpha-linolenic acid (omega 3) content of any oil, and also contains approximately 15% linoleic acid (omega 6), and 16% omega 9 fatty acids.
The high percentage of omega 3 unsaturated fatty acids in flaxseed oil makes it one of the best sources of these, but at the same time shortens the shelf-life of the oil. Once opened, flaxseed oil can be refrigerated for six to eight weeks, after which the oil should be discarded.
