Coconuts ripen on the coconut palms (Cocos nucifera) on which they grow, and fall off by themselves when ripe. Our coconut shavings come directly from small farmers in Sri Lanka, who harvest and dry the coconuts in optimum surroundings at under 45 degrees celsius. The coconut is then vacuum-packed and shipped, in refrigerated containers, to Hamburg.
Coconut butter contains calcium, potassium, sodium, copper, iron, phosphorus, amino acids and vitamin E.
We produce our coconut butter here at Naturkostbar using a traditional, slow, stone-grinding method. The coconut shavings are stone-ground for up to 36 hours, resulting in a unique coconut butter with a silky-smooth consistency like no other.
