Psyllium husks come from the Plantago ovata plant which belongs to the plantain genus, and is commonly cultivated in India. Psyllium has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine for the improvement of both metabolism and digestion. Our psyllium husks have a purity of 99%.
When psyllium husks are soaked in water they expand up to 20 times in volume. When eaten, they therefore result in a feeling of satiety, or fullness, leading to a noticeable reduction in appetite.
Psyllium husks are also a great way to thicken soups and sauces.
Usage: 1-2 tsp. mixed with a lot of water to be taken once or twice a day
